I was introduced to Crossfit Rockwall by my husband, Jeremy. He had tried it, really enjoyed it and was all in. I on the other hand was not happy with myself. As a wife, mother of 3 and working full time I didn't feel that I had time to workout. Or at least that was the excuse I used. Plus I have never had great success with it in the past, so why waste the time trying.
After about 2 months of Jeremy pushing me and realizing I was spending a lot of time at the box just watching, I finally decided to attend a free workout. That was my turning point. At first I was very intimidated because I have never been able to do a push up or pull up. But the support and friendship that I have gained from all the athletes changed that very quickly.
Since joining Crossfit Rockwall in November, I have not only been able to do push ups and pull ups, I have dropped from a size 10 slacks to a size 4. Plus, I feel stronger and better about myself. I have also competed in the Crossfit Open and the Eastbound Throwdown.
Crossfit has become a huge part of our family. Jeremy always says, "You make time for what's important! " There isn't anything more important than your health, fitness and family and to be able to share this as a family has been awesome! Big thank you to all of the coaches and the athletes, you guys are amazing! Also, to my wonderful husband for continuing to push me until I joined. I am so happy to be apart of such a great community of people.
